Competitions held by our school |
|
|
Among the competitions
held by our school belongs the most impressive barman show called “Hanacky
cup”. It is a traditional competition in mixing drinks of the
junior category held by our school and under the patronage of
Prostejov´s town council, Starorezna Prostejov, General Bottlers CR,
Czech Barman Association and many other sponsors. This event
surpasses the limits of our school and becomes one of the most
important barman competitions in our region.
“Hanacky cup” is an
international show where approximately 2000 visitors are coming
every year.
In each drink the
competer has to use some of the ingredients of the firms Pepsi Cola
(non-alcoholic drinks) and Starorezna Prostejov (alcoholic drinks).
The presence of distillery “U Zeleneho stromu” and its more than 450
year tradition gives original taste to the competition.

Leonardo da Vinci and
Tandem projects are focused on exchanged scholarships for students
and exchanged stays for teachers.
The main aim of the
project is to improve their theoretical and practical skills, to
improve their language skills, to get ability of adaptation
themselves in another working place, the feeling of responsibility,
to know lifestyle and culture in other countries and to know new
friends.
The partners in
Leonardo da Vinci project was Italy in 2004 (Palermo in Sicili),
this year our partner is
Scuola Regionale di Ristorazione della Romagna from Cesenatico.
and Sweden (Borlänge)
and for Tandem project it was and still is Rostock.
Since 2005 students
who participate in these projects get EUROPAS – Mobility, the first
complex of papers where are education, ability, skills and working

their working places – e.g. Carlisle, Lymm, Knutsford, Stirling etc.
This short-term attachment usually last 3 months but for those who
had already graduated there is a possibility to stay there for a

Other events held by
our school |
|
|
It is
an annual tradition at our school. Our students show themselves and
our school to the visitors who are for example interested in
studying at our school. They arrange elocutionary competition or
play drama. In each classroom there is also every branch of
Secondary Business School shown. Students of every branch show how
to cook, make desserts, make bags or how you can relax in our
cosmetics salon
last
year 2005 /2006 we have represented our school and its international
exchange stays on Europe Day for the first time. We have chosen
Italy as a country which we know very well. We made a little drama
about Romeo and Juliet which was typical for this county – Italy
(Verona)
This
year we decided to continue in this project as well and we are
looking forward to making the same success and entertainment for
visitors.
Europe Day is held on 9th May this year.
